Paul F Adams

I am an artist, illustrator, photographer and web designer. I was born in Altrincham, Cheshire in the UK. The son of a signwriter/artist. My grandfather Frank Adams, was a pioneering photographer. I attended Manchester High School of Art and went on to become a commercial artist and ultimately an I.T. tutor specialising in graphics. During my career I have produced technical manuals, exhibitions and all manner of printed publications. I became an airbrush artist and photo retoucher. I also worked on occasion, as a watercolour artist and portrait painter.

During the advent of desk-top computers, I started to use Photoshop, Freehand, Illustrator and other graphic software. I then became an academic publisher, producing illustrations for encyclopaedias and school text books for technical subjects like science, chemistry, geography etc.

More recently, after getting accreditation for Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, I became an IT tutor. With my background in publishing I was able help other graphic artists, printers and publishers get to grips with all the latest software. I have a huge passion for digital art as it brings together all my other interests of art, technical illustration, photography, computing and my love of mathematics and geometry. My work is gaining an international reputation, along with sales of canvas prints I have also had commissions for book covers, CD album covers and for larger installations in the corporate market.

Now enjoying life on the south coast in Teignmouth, I sell my work in local galleries as well as internationally through the internet. I also continue to inspire others whilst teaching and lecturing.
